In a fairly recent Xbox update, you are now allowed to use USB storage devices instead of the expensive memory cards. Not only are the standard memory cards expensive, they won’t store more than 512mb. Whereas you could buy a USB pen drive to hold a few gb worth of data!!!
To be fair on Microsoft, they listened to the users and answered their prayers on this one.
So don’t waste your hard earned cash on the Xbox Memory units, use your USB pen drives instead!!
Note, you must have the latest Microsoft Xbox 360 dashboard update to take advantage of this.. so if you’re an offline user (somebody who doesn’t connect to Xbox Live over the Internet) you’ll need to connect to Xbox Live to download the latest update. Maybe take your xbox to your friends house, hook it up to the internet and download the latest update.
Are you a gamer who is thinking of buying a blu-ray player? The PS3 comes with a blu-ray player built in, so for a little extra you could have a PS3 and a blu-ray player in one! I’d certainly suggest investing here. The price of blu-ray players will eventually decrease rapidly like DVD players did…. so if you ask me, you are protecting your investment by purchasing a PS3. A blu-ray player will set you back between 100 to 200 GBP. At the time of this writing, you can pick up a PS3 from between 200 to 250 GBP. The blu-ray PS3 player is a good quality one, and seems to be very stable. It’s a little annoying not having a remote for it, but you can still use your wireless PS3 controller as a remote. As long as you don’t mind such a cumbersome remote control, then I’d go for it!
We hope you all got what you wanted this Christmas! Enjoy time with yourselves and your families. Obviously Christmas wouldn’t be the same without a bit of gaming
So you’ve heard stories about Xbox gamers playing retro classics like Space Invaders, Curse of Monkey Island & Speedball 2, but you can’t find these titles in the shops! What’s going on?
XBL Arcade games cost anything from £3, and if you want my opinion, are well worth it. Relive old memories with some retro classics, or try a new game for days of entertainment without having to get up off your couch (except for getting another beer of course)!
